Allyship & Action:
Pioneering Equity in Advertising

In response to the tragic events surrounding George Floyd, I co-founded Allyship & Action, a platform dedicated to addressing systemic biases within the advertising industry. Collaborating with industry professionals Nate Nichols, Steffi Behringer, Bennett Bennett, and Aimee Brodbeck, we aimed to initiate critical conversations about racism and hold the advertising sector accountable for meaningful change.

Key Initiatives:

  • Transparency and Accountability: We advocated for agencies to publicly share their diversity data, challenging the historical opacity that has hindered progress. By promoting transparency, we sought to build trust and drive systemic change within organizations.

  • Inclusive Platforms: Allyship & Action created spaces for BIPOC, LGBTQ+, women, non-binary, and disabled communities to share their experiences and insights. This approach ensured that marginalized voices were heard and prioritized in industry dialogues.

  • Benchmarking Progress: We established actionable benchmarks for agencies and brands, encouraging continuous improvement in diversity and inclusion efforts. By setting clear goals, we aimed to foster a culture of accountability and measurable progress.

Through these efforts, Allyship & Action has become a catalyst for change, promoting equity and inclusion within the advertising industry. Our mission continues to inform, connect, and activate industry professionals toward building a more inclusive future.
